The Leftist agenda terrifies someone like me. “But how can you be afraid of butterflies and unicorns?” you may ask… Well, this is a Facebook post provided to me by a cousin of mine. Not a distant cousin, mind you. This is a direct blood cousin that I grew up with.
To quote her: “I guess the real problem is men!! Get rid of them and then guns and solencerd [sic] won’t be a problem.”
During various conversations, she has accused me of being a hateful and violent person, though. Hello, pot; but I’m not even a kettle. Later pointing out her hypocrisy garnered me the accusation of taking the high road; like acting civilly and being respectful during communication with another person – a family member, even – is some sort of foreign concept that only an elitist would take. Right? Right.
Let me roundabout back from my “SQUIRREL!” up there. Leftists scare me. They’re so engrained, so deeply indoctrinated, and so zealous about their views that they believe physically harming others is an answer to dissenting views. They hold the position that there is no other way but their own and the opposition must be squelched; sometimes violently.
When did this behavior become acceptable? Who decided, and when, that civility was no longer necessary in political discourse?
I suppose I shouldn’t be pointing the finger at Leftists alone. There are a few ideologies that act this way. But seriously: when did we, as a majority of reasonable people, decide to just ignore this behavior and let people act like violent ass-hats? Why are there not more people who condemn these jerks?
Here it loud and clear… Even if I agree with your opinion, if you decide to needlessly threaten someone else (or me for that matter), I will have no problem meeting the threat with a resistance appropriate for your actions in order to protect the target.
